Terms of Service
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These Terms describe how BearTV works today. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Have qualified counsel review them before relying on them for compliance in your jurisdiction.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using BearTV (the website, matchmaking, video chat, and related services), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. BearTV requires age confirmation before chatting. Accounts for anyone under 18 are prohibited and may be removed without notice.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity on your account. Each account receives a permanent Account Code (for example BT-7F3K92) used for support and moderation. Do not share passwords. Notify us if you believe your account was compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use BearTV respectfully and lawfully. You must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or exploit other users
- Share sexual content involving minors, or any illegal content
- Spam, flood chat, run bots, or abuse matchmaking
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity in a deceptive way
- Attempt to bypass bans, restrictions, security controls, or rate limits
- Scrape, attack, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law
5. Prohibited Content
Content that is illegal, non-consensual, hateful, violently graphic without context, or otherwise severely abusive is prohibited. Community Guidelines may provide additional examples.
6. Reporting & Moderation
Users may report others during or after chats. Staff may review reports and take action, including warnings, temporary match/chat restrictions, temporary bans, permanent bans, and account termination. BearTV also uses automated moderation that escalates only after repeated or confirmed safety signals (for example multiple distinct reports, spam/flood patterns, or ban-evasion attempts). A single report alone does not automatically result in a ban.
7. Bans, Restrictions & Evasion
Sanctions may be manual (issued by moderators) or automatic (issued by safety systems). Temporary actions expire; permanent bans remain until staff overturn them. Creating new accounts or otherwise circumventing enforcement is a separate violation and may lead to stronger or permanent action.
8. Appeals
To appeal a restriction or ban, contact support with your Account Code, approximate dates, and a clear explanation. We may uphold, shorten, or lift actions at our discretion.
9. Termination & Availability
You may stop using BearTV at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, legal reasons, or service changes. BearTV may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or network conditions. Features may change over time.
10. User-Generated Content
You are responsible for what you say and show in chats. Live video is generally peer-to-peer and not stored by BearTV as a recording service. You grant BearTV a limited license to process account data, reports, and moderation records needed to operate and secure the platform.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and why. Match preferences (including country codes), reports, bans, and Account Codes may be processed for matching and safety.
12. Disclaimers & Liability
BearTV is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not control user behavior and are not responsible for interactions between users. To the maximum extent allowed, BearTV and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms, appeals, or safety concerns: use the Contact page or email legal@beartv.com. Include your Account Code when writing about an account-specific issue.
